Have you ever wondered what would happen if all the teams in the NCAA Tournament were replaced with your favorite United States Vice Presidents and Match Game Panelists? Who hasn't, right? Well, Jethro, your sleepless nights are over ... welcome to The 2005 GoBoilers.com Tournament of United States Vice Presidents and Match Game Panelists.

Here's how it works: the Tournament Seeding Committee has done the legwork for you in preparing the brackets you see below. As in seeding any bracket, some difficult choices needed to be made. As you compare the Committee's opinion with your own, keep in mind some of the recent headlines from your local paper's sports pages -- Alben Barkley lost to Bart Braverman in the Play-In Game, Charles Dawes has jumped to play overseas, and Levi Morton remains on post-season tournament probation until 2007 for accepting cash payments.

Now, it's your turn. You'll notice that next to each matchup is a pair of radio buttons. Simply click your favorite for each game and submit your list. Each week, the votes will be tallied, winners will advance, and you'll come back the following week to do it all again. As was the case last year, if you would like e-mail notification of the beginning of each new round, submit your email address here. GB.c will delete your email address after the tournament; you need not fear us signing you up for prescription medications, secrets of EBay success, or men or women in another country that really want to meet YOU!

Be sure to take your voting seriously; there are some great matchups ahead. In the West, on paper, can anyone tell the difference between Thomas Jefferson and Bart Braverman? In the Midwest, it's Marcia Wallace vs. Henry Wallace ... which one was a VP? In the Southeast, the CNR buzzsaw is looking intimidating, as usual. And finally, in the East, Bill Walton will be working to avoid his sixth-straight opening-round exit, this time against Al Gore.

Can you vote more than once per week? Sure, selfish. If this nonsense gets you out of bed in the morning, by all means, jump on with both feet. We're happy to be your ray of sunshine.
